Thanks for stopping by!
My name is Brandon Gilliland. I am a high school junior currently enrolled in a full-time dual enrollment program at St. Johns River State College in Florida. I started the dual enrollment program when I was 15, and I enrolled as a full time student at the start of my junior year in high school. As of right now, I am a little over halfway in progress to obtaining my Associates Degree at St. Johns River State College.

Following a Pre-Medicine track, I plan to major in Biology or Chemistry. Both are interesting subjects that I have enjoyed studying by taking a few semester’s worth of these courses at St. Johns River State College. Although I am not sure, at this moment, what major and school I want to finish out my degree in medicine, I know that God has called me to become a surgeon. Knowing that I could potentially help save lives and find cures for deadly diseases is what has created an interest in me about the medical field.
Aside from school, I am am active in my church and in golf. Next year will be my fourth year playing for the Nease High School varsity golf team. I am actively involved in my church (Turning Point at Calvary). I lead the youth worship band as well as help with other activities with my church including mission trips, youth ministries and outreach, food bank ministries, and children’s ministries. My faith in Jesus Christ is important to me, so I choose to serve in the ministries that God brings into vision because He controls my life. By serving in my church and in my community, I have not only learned to be a participant, but I have developed character that is necessary for a successful life. There is no better way to develop a servant leader’s attitude than to serve in ministries that promote and meet the needs of others!
